Neighborhood Schools
- Neighborhood High Schools (sometimes referred to as Zoned School) offer admission to any student in the attendance area
- Students in the attendance area are automatically enrolled in these schools
- Some neighborhood high schools have spaces for non- attendance students.
Magnet High Schools and Programs
- Offer specialty programs in areas including fine and performing arts, engineering, and agricultural science.
Military Academies
- The Military Academies offer a unique high school option for highly motivated students, providing an academically rigorous curriculum with a focus on leadership and citizenship.
- Each academy focuses on a branch of military.
- There is no expectation for students to enter the military after graduation. The Academies' primary goal is to prepare students to attend the four-year college or university of their choice.
International Baccalaureate (IB) Programs
- Offer a comprehensive and challenging pre-university program. Widely recognized for high academic standards.
Selective Enrollment Schools
- Selective Enrollment High Schools provide academically advanced students with a challenging and enriched college preparatory experience. Each of the Selective Enrollment High Schools offers a rigorous curriculum with mainly honors and Advanced Placement (AP) courses.
- Students must pre-qualify based on their NWEA/MAP scores. (7th grade spring)
- 7th grade grades (Final grades in reading, math, science, and social studies)
- Entrance exam (taken in the fall of 8th grade year).
- 900 point scale-Derived from admission test scores, NWEA scores, and final cumulative grades. Each category is worth 300 points. **See Scoring Rubric.
